Honey Tips & Hints

To make measuring
easy, spray the measuring cup or spoon with cooking spray

Honey should be
stored at room temperature

Honey should not be
fed to infants under one year of age

A 12-ounce jar of
honey equals a standard measuring cup

Honey has more
sweetening power than sugar due to its high fructose content so you
can use less honey than you would sugar

If your honey
crystallizes, just place the honey jar in warm water and stir until
the crystals dissolve
When Baking With Honey:

Reduce any liquid
called for by 1/4 cup for each cup of honey used
-
Add 1/2 teaspoon
baking soda for each cup of honey used
-
Reduce oven
temperature 25 degrees to prevent over browning
